Spitfires offers fun for youngsters
If you have a youngster aged six to eight who might like to join a local group, you might want to consider the 23rd Bromley Spitfires.
They meet at 5pm on Mondays in the hall next to St Augustine's Church in Southborough Lane.
Among the helpers at the group is Rita Smith, who works at the Sainsbury's store at Locksbottom and gives up part of her spare time to assist with the group's activities that include games, crafts and working to gain various badges.
Each year the group do a good deed to help a charity of their choice and this often includes filling shoeboxes with toys for children overseas.
If your son or daughter would like to come along and see whether this is a group for them, they would be very welcome. Come at 5pm on any Monday during school term and speak to either Rita Smith or Stella Green.
