A MENTAL health charity was honoured to receive the mayor of Bromley at its ceramics studio.

Councillor Pauline Tunnicliffe talked to Credo members, volunteers, staff and trustees about the work of the charity, which supports people experiencing mental ill health.

She saw a wide variety of ceramics being produced by members and was very interested in their individual journeys to recovery.

Afterwards she said: "I had a fabulous morning with Credo. The standard and range of the ceramic art work produced is excellent.

"All those working as part of the Credo team are quite clearly very dedicated to this incredibly worthwhile cause.

"Listening to some of the individuals who attend it makes you realise how anyone's life can change in an instant through illness or accident.

"For many, Credo has been an invaluable help on their roads to recovery, increasing their self-confidence and in many cases enabling them to return to work."

Jan Lovett, project officer for Credo, said: "Everyone was very pleased to see the mayor and how impressed she was with Credo's work in the community."
