The chequered flag greets Luke Graver as he crosses the winning line
AN UP and coming karter from Beckenham has won the second round of the national Super One TKM four stroke kart championship in Wales.
Luke Graver, 19, entered the latest stage of the national championship at the Llandow kart circuit lying joint second with Sam Dimelow behind leader Brendan Carton. Following the heats, Graver qualified second on the front row alongside Chris Lipscomb on pole, who was racing on his home track.
On the second row was Reece Jenkins and Carton.
At the start of the race, Graver dropped to third behind Lipscomb and Jenkins and was under pressure from Carton and John Langridge.
However, he kept his cool, moved into second and on the third lap out-braked Lipscomb at the end of the straight to move into the lead.
Graver gained a small advantage over Lipscomb, who came under pressure from the chasing pack, enabling the Beckenham rider to win by more than three seconds.
