Man, 29, raped 11-year-old girl
A 29-YEAR-OLD man has been found guilty of raping an 11-year-old girl.
Omololu Babatunde, of Edge Hill, Woolwich, denied the rape, which meant his victim had to go through the ordeal of giving evidence.
But a jury found him guilty on Wednesday (July 9) at Woolwich Crown Court.
The court heard how, in November last year, he befriended his victim in an alleyway near Herbert Road, Woolwich, and persuaded her to walk back to his flat, where he raped her.
Babatunde let the girl go, but later met her again on a bus and said he would kill her if she reported the rape.
He was arrested and charged in January.
Babatunde denied any involvement with the rape but said he knew the girl as he had given her money in the past.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Shelly Phillips, of Greenwich police, said afterwards: "The crime that he committed has left a young girl extremely distressed.
"Babatunde attempted to cover his tracks but was unsuccessful.
"I would like to praise the victim and her family for the assistance they provided."
Babatunde was remanded in custody for sentencing on September 5.

Filthy piece of work. Let's hope that the sentence given really does reflect the horrendous crime and further torture that this poor little victim had to go through in giving evidence against this inhuman piece of dung.

This man is low life scum, how could he do such a sick disgusting act. Makes me sick. He should be locked away for life. There is no excuse for what he has done. I hope the poor victim recovers and goes on to have a very happy, safe and lucky life. Bless her little heart.

Lets get real; this is just a forum for individuals to vent their frustration at the wrongs they see. And hope that someone out there cares about what the common person wants?

What is happening to this country? Labour government disguied their politically correct views via a booming economy. No-one saw it coming and now the chips are down watch it un-ravel! All of the good european workers have gone and all we are left with is a load of spongers and thieves. Lets learn from our mistakes and in 2 years time we will start to see things turn around again. Gordon Brown knows the problems but is doing nothing about them.

Dirty Low life scum bag. Hopefully he will get what he deserves once behind bars. Oops sorry this wont happen he will be given his own security measures to protect him from other inmates. Hopefully with counselling and alot of love this poor little girl will recover if possible. Be strong poppet and dont let a pervert ruin your life ahead.
