Explosives used to blow safe in morning raid on shop

BURGLARS used explosives to blow the safe during a raid on a cash exhange shop in Lewisham today (July 11).

Raiders broke into The Moneyshop in Lewisham High Street in the early hours of this morning.

Police investigating the break-in thought explosives were used to blow open the safe and cordoned off the High Street after staff reported the burglary at 8am today.

The raid was discovered by staff when they arrived for work at the shop which cashes cheques and offers pawn broking services.

You would think one of those idiots in that huge old bill shop just off the highstreet might have gone to investigate when the explosion went off too....

The money shop is dreadful. They charge you a fortune to cash a cheque. There are two money shops in Catford now. Crazy company.
